-       Alsaif square (4800 square meter).

-       Air base square (10000 square meter).

-       Albalad Plaza (30000 square meter).

-       Alfarisi Jewellery box on albaiah square (3600 square meter).

 

8)    Pedestrian Thematic Spines:

 Tasks executed for the following projects included: "site selection studies, landscape design master plan, visualizations and perspectives, and working drawings"

-       Flowers pedestrian spine.

-       The Book pedestrian spine.

-       The Poetry pedestrian spine.

9)    Strategic Plan for Art works in the city of Jeddah:
 
Tasks included:

-       Art works survey and analysis.

-       Evaluation of art works (quality of art, location, structure, finishing, space, and surroundings).

-       Site selection design criteria.

-       Art theme for the city of Jeddah.

-       Locations map of Art works for the city of Jeddah.

 

10)  Redevelopment of Major roads and streetscape:

-       al-Tahlia street (between Medina Rd. and Prince Sultan st.). "Landscape master plan and design details for some sites" the project was done in collaboration with the Department of Mega Project (Chief designer: Eng. Eihab al-Aamri). (4.8km).

-       Filistin street (between Medina and Cornich Rd.). "Landscape master plan and design details for some sites" the project was done in collaboration with the Department of Mega Projects  (Chief designer: Eng. Eihab al-Aamri). (3.2km).

-       The University Street (between Abdullah al-Sulaiman st. and Makkah Rd.) "Landscape master plan and working drawings (in progress)" (3.6km).

-       Abdalrahman al-Sidairi Street (between Qurais and Sari st.). "Landscape master plan and working drawings" (2.8km).

-       Filistin street (between Medina and King Fahad Rd). "Landscape master plan and working drawings" (1.6km).

-       Partial pedestrianization of major roads within part of al-Safa residential district: (landscape planning, landscape design, and urban design guidelines).

-       Five spines: al-Malik road, prince Sultan street, Makkah road, al-Nuzhah road, and Hamad al-Jasir street. "Design criteria report, landscape master plan and design details for some sites" the project was done in collaboration with the Department of Mega Projects (Chief designer: Eng. Eihab al-Aamri).

-       RFP (request for fee proposal) for a project titled: "Landscape Design Details and Construction Drawings for the five spines."

ranging in area between 5000-10000 square meter. (developing design concept with some visualizations and perspectives).

Tasks executed for the following projects included: "site selection studies, fountain design integrated with the landscape design master plan, visualizations and perspectives, animations, and working drawings"

-       Prince Abdulmajid Square.

-       Makkah Gateway fountain with mega screen.

-       Medina Gateway fountain with mega screen.

-       Interactive fountain in the Garden and community centre.

-       A dancing fountain on the intersection of Medina and Filistin road.

-       A dancing fountain on Al-Yamamah linear park.

-       Pyramids fountain.

-       Planting structure for the city of Jeddah.

-       Open space system for the city of Jeddah.

-       New landscape themes for streets' intersections in the city of Jeddah.

-       Pedestrian Bridges.  "the study included site allocation for 25 sites, design criteria, site investigations, case studies, and. Design concept for 5 models."

-       Redevelopment of al-Salamah District. "analytical and evaluations studies and redesign of existing parks and gardens"

-       The Directory for International Competition for Mosque Design in the city of Jeddah.

Part Time Consultant for the Deputy Mayor of Service in Jeddah Municipality (Department of Garden and City Embellishment).  Accomplishments included:

1)    Establishing digital archive for 385 city public parks, gardens, green areas, and urban open spaces in the city of Jeddah.  This archiving project was based on a field survey executed by a group of college students under my supervision.

2)    Landscape management plan for the Department of Garden and City Embellishment.

3)    Restructuring of the municipal plants nurseries

4)    Landscape design for several projects:

i)              King Abdulaziz square

ii)             The Wall garden on al-Tahliah street.

iii)            The intersection of Palestine and al-Haramain Rd (three holy cities).

iv)           Desert Park on Prince Majid Rd.

v)            Jeddah National Park

vi)           Landscape design for 28 city gardens and parks

5)    The competition of “leave no trace” supported by Nabco and Bakhashwain.

Redevelopment of Araft neim (Azadiracta indica) forest in Makkah (this project was a accomplished in collaboration with Dr. Ali Baubaid), submitted to Faqih Research centre in Makkah.  Studies included:

-       Design and management guidelines, and recommendations to improve trees' growth in the forest.

Liaison officer for Medina Municipality, Saudi Arabia in Dar al-Handasah Shaier and Partners Consultant Office.  The office worked on a project titled ‘The Comprehensive Re-Development of Medina’s Master Plan’ which included seven tasks.  Responsibilities included:

-       The seventh task titled "Planning and Design of Medina Central Park,"  (4.3 square km), Tasks executed were landscape site analysis, landscape three design alternatives, landscape master plan, some visualizations and perspectives.  Some tasks were done in the consultant’s office in Cairo-Egypt,

-       Participated with colleagues from the Medina Municipality in reviewing and commenting on reports prepared by the consultant which were the second and the third tasks of the same project titled "Socio-Economic Survey and Analysis of Medina" and "Planning Criteria and Building Regulations for Medina area."

1st Summer training in Dr. Othman and Partners Consultant Office in Cairo Egypt.  Worked under the supervision of a senior landscape architect Dr. Abdalmuhsin Farahat and Dr. Murad Abdalqadir in a project titled ‘Landscape Design of Open Spaces of the Campus of the Institute of Geophysics in Hilwan-Egypt.  Tasks included:

  1. Landscape design of open spaces.
  2. Planting design.
  3. Design details for some areas and some space furniture.
  4. General grading plan of the whole campus.

Jun-Aug 1986

2nd Summer training at Aricon Consultant Office in Cairo-Egypt.  Worked under the supervision of Dr. Baha Bakri with a group of senior architects in two architectural projects: King Faisal Bank in Damanhour-Egypt, and residential apartment building in al-Haraniah, al-Gizah-Egypt.  Tasks included schematic design, hand drafting for some architectural details, and preparation of bills of quantities with other architects.
